Call or book online for 8?

Our ADR's can be booked Monday morning and it is always something that stresses me out. To make it more difficult this time, my cousin and her family are coming along for their first family trip to WDW. Between us, there are 4 adults and 4 kids. So I need to get ADR's for 8 and am already worried. Would I have better luck calling or going online- or does it really matter. OR I am just screwed regardless. From looking around on the boards it just seems like a table for 8 might prove tricky.

I just decided on a trip for last week of Sept during free dining. We are also a party of 8 and I didn't make reservations for the trip until after the ADR window opened.

I was able to get a lot of things I wanted. I didn't have any problems with lunches and dinners but I didn't get all the pre park opening character breakfast ADRs I wanted. Watching for cancellations for those.

I guess I was pleasantly surprised that booking for 8 wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

I did all of mine online, but like I said it was already past the ADR window so I don't know which would be best to do on opening day.

That gives me hope! I am only needing 1 pre-park character meal, so I will try and book that first. We are staying at Beach Club, so hopefully our breakfast at Cape May wont be as tricky. I have decided against trying to book the super hard to get ressies. Trying to take off some of the pressure!

We have a party of 8 as well and I had no issues reserving online...aside from Yak for lunch on May 8th which I'm still working on

We are a party of 9, and like the PP's I had no trouble booking on-line. Even got CP breakfast pre-park opening and CRT for dinner without a problem. I would book early as I am sure larger parties are harder to "fit-in" later.

But it just dawned on me- my reservation is for 4, but I need ADR's for 8... Will it let me do this? I do have my cousin's confirmation # as well....

My reservation is for 4 and I made ADR's for 8 no problem a few weeks ago. We have my parents and in-laws going so three separate reservations but I was able to make the ADR's for all 8 no problem under my confirmation - and didn't need their confirmation #'s either. Also, I did the ADR's online.
