Call of Duty Moder Warfare is the newest one and it's been pretty hot. I think you'll be okay with either if he doesn't have one at all.

Definitely Modern Warfare, my husband and son cannot stop talking about how much they love it LOL The Xbox and PS3 versions we have just use the regular controllers, not sure if it's different for Wii or not.
