Call non Disney restaurant direct?

So I have been trying to make ressies for our party of 16..two of the places, Frontera Cocina and RFC in AK I got 2 tables of 8 (cm saying they only allow them to book 8 at those two), but then was told I could call directly to see of I wanted to try for the whole party. Just wondering if anyone has sat of a group more than 8 at either of these places, or if we would just end up being sat at 2 tables of 8 regardless of calling the restaurant directly?

After your last experience I don’t blame you for wanting to call

on the plus side, there shouldn’t be a huge hold time. I would call. I went onto Frontera’s site and your party size is too large to make online reservation.
