California Screamin' -What age is appropriate?

My daughter will have recently turned 6 when we go to Disneyland for the first time this Summer. She will be 48 inches but I'm not sure that even though she is "eligible" to ride that she "should" ride.

She went on Expedition Everest in WDW and had no problems last year but was not a fan of Tower of Terror!

Does anyone have experience with little ones on California Screamin'?

My just turned-7 year old LOVED Screamin' over XMas. If she likes EE, I think she would like Sceamin. (He does not like ToT either...)

My second son, who is very tall for his age, went on Screamin when he was 3 weeks shy of 5. He is a crazy ride lover and will do anything. My youngest son doesn't like TOT either. He rode it when he was 3 one time and choose not to when he was 4.

If they are tall enough to ride then it's really just about the individual child. My son was riding Space Mountain at 3 yrs. and can't wait to get back for Indy and Screamin'.

My daughter loves rides and will finally be tall enough to ride CS on our trip in Dec. She has been wanting to ride it since our first trip in 2008 (she was 4) -- now she will be 6 and I think she will be fine. I think Disney is pretty strict about safety so if they can pass the height requirement and are a healthy child with no special conditions the ride should be able to handle them safely. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks everyone! We've been watching youtube clips and we'll see how it goes when she sees it in person but now I feel better since I've seen everyone's take on it.

My opinion is that the size requirement is for safety and very important. But really, age has nothing to do with what ride is appropriate for a person. Some people never want to ride CS, no matter how old they get. Some love it from the moment they are big enough to ride.

It really depends on the person. I think it is good when the parents just let the kids try if they want, or skip it if they want. I have seen parents put their expectations on kids both ways. I have seen some trying to pressure their kids into riding. And I have also seen parents trying to discourage their kids because they themselves are afraid.

That is the great thing about Disney. They have plenty of types of rides to please everyone.
