California Schools back in Session?

Does anyone know when California schools nomally head back to the classrooms? We are going to be at DL from August 15th - 18th (Monday-Thursday) and I was just wondering what the crowds will be like. We have never been to DL. This is a completely new experience for us. We go to WDW once or twice a year and are used to all the space and things being spread out. Is DL more congested? It will just be DH and myself going. Any touring tips you can give will be much appreciated.

Most of our schools go back either the week before the or the week after Labor Day. So about a week after your trip. You will still experience crowds, but you'll be there for multiple days, so you'll have time to see everything.
