Has anyone stayed at any of the other resorts in the San Francisco area in Calif? If so how were they? Might be going there this summer if air rates come down in price. Thanks for any info. !!! :thewave:

I haven't stayed at any but from what I know, none are comparable to DVC. Still, they are generally difficult to get. Neither are highly rated on TUG, the highest being 8.08. Their locations are good however. You may want to look at a direct exchange giving you more options and likely costing you less points if you approach it correctly.

I think the Fairmont is now part of the CC. THat is one great hotel. Yes the points would be high, but so would the cash rates. One of the best hotels that I have stayed in. All the cable car lines meet by the hotel, so you can get everywhere. I liked it better than the one in Boston and thought it was nicer than the Southampton and Hamilton Princess. I think it may be worth the points for a few days.
