We went the last 2 weeks in November and the first week was in the 90's (bit of a heatwave) and the second week was late 60's. We wore shorts and vests during the day, but by the time the sun went down, you could feel the chill in the air and we would go back to the hotel to change into trousers and sweatshirt.
It did seem strange though, seeing Xmas trees and walking round shops listening to Xmas carols and us wearing shorts and vests!!!...lol.
We will be staying at Circus Circus in August as its free for children up to 17years old (DD is 15) and we wont be hanging round the hotel, just using it as a base. It might be a bit dated, but as long as the sheets are clean then i don't mind where i sleep.
We are booked into a Motel6 at Williams, Arizona for 2 nights as well when we visit the Grand Canyon.Not 5* luxury, but it will suit us.
