Hey DL Dissers, Im heading out west in 2 months to celebrate my b-day. This will be my first visit to DL in 29 years. I was there the summer of 76 and still remember the bicentennial theme to the parade down Main Street. I have my air fair booked, my reservation at Candy Cane Inn confirmed and a great price on a rental thanks to my company being a client of National. My company also belongs to a group called Working Advantage and I got a 5 day hopper with one EE for $159.00 and a 1 day ticket to Universal for $39.00.
Heres my itinerary:
8/13 Fly out of JFK, arrive Long Beach 9:50 AM. I have always wanted to see the Queen Mary so that will be my first stop. After that I want to stop at a supermarket for a few supplies. Check into Candy Cane and shower and sleep. (I figure by the time I go to the QM and the supermarket it should be late enough to check in). I thought since I have a 5 day hopper I could go see Fantasmic and the fireworks that first night.
8/14 Spend the day at DL with an afternoon nap/swim and back to DL for dinner, etc.
8/15 (my birthday) Do EE at DL and then head over to DCA for opening. Again afternoon break at Candy Cane. Back to the parks at dinner time.
8/16 Drive up to Universal for the day. Depending on how I feel either DTD or back to a park for a couple of hours.
8/17 Tour of LA area, either DTD or more parks at night. If I do DTD on 8/16 Ill go to the parks 8/17.
8/18 Clean up day, my flight doesnt leave until 3:45 so I can go back to DL and DCA and hit my favorites one last time.
I have been lurking around here the DL board for a while now, and now I can post that Im coming!!!!
