I read somewhere that they do not play Wishes music or dim the lights during Wishes at California Grill. If so, will it really effect our time at CG with the kids 12 and 14. Or should i just go with my Dh?
Thanks,

I like to go out on the observation deck to view Wishes. The waiters are good about holding your food for you til you come back. Enjoy, I'll be there in 9 days!

We were there in Feb. O7 and they played the music and dimmed the lights both. It was awesome. Normally we go out on the observation deck, but this was so nice to watch from our table.

We were there the 3rd week of April. They still play the music but do not dim the lights. They will plan your meal so that you can go outside. I talked with WDW Customer Service last night about a letter I wrote (that included many things about our trip including Cali Grill). She said that for now that is the policy, it could change at anytime as they review comments from the guests.

IMHO I still think that you could have a good time with the kids and walk out to the balcony to watch. It is not a very good "romantic" restaurant compared to others on property, so I would make it a family affair and do the couples night out elsewhere.
