California Grill /Wishes.

The only reservation I could become for California Grill is for 9.20pm but have now found out that wishes begins at 9.30,will this work out for me if I want to see Wishes from the balcony?
Eg: Has any one gone earlier ordered their meal then got a drink and went to the balcony until the meal was served?
Or has anyone a tip for me?

coming up in September. I have a 9:10 reservation and was worried about getting there on time for our ressie. We are arriving earlier that evening and was unsure if we could get there on time. From what I was told here, with wishes being at 9:00, we will probably not be able to be sat on time as people will want to "hang out" until after wishes ends. I would say that you may have a similar experience. Your table may not be available until after wishes. I would go a bit early, check in and go up to the lounge and enjoy a drink and the fireworks before sitting down.

the wife and i had a 9:15ish ADR at CG mid september '07...we checked in around 8:30pm and were actually taken right up to the restuarant and seated well before Wishes began at 9:00...don't be afraid to check in early, its well worth seeing the fireworks from the observation deck...

I will try to go as early as possible and ask when we check in what they would advise.
Im so looking forward to this although the thought of eating at 10pm was putting me off a little.
