California grill vs. narcoossee's

Which would you do for the following:

1. Better food?

2. Best to view Wishes?

I can't decide

I've eaten at California Grill, but not Narcoosee's. I am DYING to try Narcoosee's, though.

The view of Wishes from CG is absolutely beautiful, but my family did not love the menu. *ducks*. We had okay service, but not the best we've had at WDW. We would return, but it is not at the top of our list. I have heard so many fantastic reviews of CG though, that I would not place too much importance on my opinion.

Personally, I think the atmosphere of Narcoosee's looks much more appealing and inviting, and I prefer the GF over the CR. Every picture and review I've read has made me drool. On our next trip, we are planning on eating here for sure.

I don't think I was very much help... but all I can say is that these are two very highly regarded restaurants and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

We have had dinner at both restaurants, the Cali Grill has a better view (closer) and outside/inside views. But We really feel that Narcossee's
food and service is outstanding. Not to take away from the Cali grill, it is wonderful also. But we prefer the more intmate setting, at Narcoossees.
Besides, the walk to and from the restaurant thru the Grand Floridian/gardens is just so relaxing and wonderful.

ITA, it's just quieter, more relaxed. And the view is different than CG, but very nice: you are closer to the lake, and looking up at the Castle. As food, I think they are both good, so you just have to look at the menus, see what works best for you. FWIW.

Eaten at both several times. Prefer CG for both food and atmosphere/view.

I was trying to decide on which one to have dinner at also, to watch Wishes. I ended up with an ADR at Narcoossee for 8pm to catch the MVMCP fireworks.
Can't wait.

Seems to me that menu was the easiest way to decide between the two, they are really very different. Going to both certainly is a wonderful option. I have only been to Narcoossee's and would return, again and again given the chance. Once having made a decision largely based on the menu and now having experienced Narcoossee's, I have no regrets.

The other benefit of going to Narcoossee's was going to the Grand Floridian hotel. We visited the Contemporary during our meal at Chef Mickey's, so we did get to see both.

Looks like we'll be there the same time. We have a 7:50 ressie at Narcoossee's to watch MVMCP Wishes too. The first night we arrive; thought that would be cool for the kids.

Been to both & love both. You can't go wrong with either selection. It's like saying, what's better, lobster or filet mignon. They both are just fabulous.

Oh by the way, did I mention... I'm jealous.
