What is the best time to book dinner at California Grill in order to view MK fireworks?

Our trip is scheduled for July. Sorry about that.

Once you find out the fireworks time for the date you are going, about an hour or so ahead of that time should be fine. It's what we always do at CG and we find that we're somewhere into our meal when the fireworks begin. We just get up,go out on the deck to watch the show, then resume the meal once it's over.

Also, anyone who eats at CG earlier in the evening is able to return to the restaurant to watch Wishes at night. Just make sure you hang on to your receipt.

We have taken our time at this meal, as it is our favorite.

previously we had reservations at 615 and stayed till 9:00 when wishes started.

on our last trip, we had to cancel our ADR's we had for 5, because our luggage still hadn't arrived and we were not looking so pretty! We changed it for 9:00 and then we just asked to wait to be seated so we could go out to see the fireworks.

This time we have 7:30 ADR for 10:00pm wishes. It's still a little early, but we are using 2 TS's so we just hang out and enjoy our time there!

I would book your ADR for 60-90 minutes prior to Wishes if at all possible. As others have said, you can hang on to your receipt and go back up to watch from the viewing deck if you want to. For me, I enjoy the fireworks if it happens while I am still enjoying my dining experience. I think the view from Main Street is a much better view so if I had an early ADR (actually - we had just that two weeks ago, a 5:30 ressie) I would finish my meal and go to the park for Wishes. However, if you can pull off the 60-90 min prior to Wishes ADR, then I'd stick with the viewing from on top of the Contemporary - it is a neat and unique experience.

We had a 7:40 PM ADR, and we ordered dessert, then went to watch the fireworks at 9:30 PM. They held the dessert until after the fireworks. We did take our time eating, though.

I would recommend 90 minutes before the fireworks. 60 minutes would have you having to get up during your entree.

Our ressie was for 6:55 pm & saw Wishes at 8 pm just as dessert came out. This was in Feb.
