Just returned from Disney after a 5 night stay at GF. Our family of four ate at the Cali Grill at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. We had dinner there last year as well, and our waiter was the same, Ryan from Illinois. If you can request a server, please consider Ryan. He was highly knowledgable, attentive, efficient, and above all passionate about his job..
A few points if I may. First, it seems there are some people on the Boards who complain about the serving sizes for the price. Look, it is an expensive restaurant. Their goal is to provide delicious food, not an abundance of fair to good food...Figure about 200 bucks for drinks, apps, and meals, for a family of four. We enjoy the selection of food and consider the place a decent value.
Here is the thing... Upon sitting down at your table overlooking the MK, your initial response is "Wow, that is cool." You check out the view for a while and remind the kids of how "awesome" it is. But then after a few minutes, we really did not pay attention to the view. It became just part of the setting. To me, unless you are watching the fireworks show, you are not going to get value from simply the view. You can see the Castle anytime you want to, up close and personal...
Just my two cents
