California Grill reservation?

Has anyone been lucky to get a reservation at the grill a week ahead of time or even last minute?

In my experience, if you don't plan 180 days ahead (like I don't) your best bet for any ADR is to get one last-minute. I start checking the week of and can almost always get everything I want/haven't been able to get when I first started planning, which is usually 3ish months out. I have never used a reservation finder service, I usually can find anything I want via the website or MDE app.

People tend to cancel sometimes as their reservation draws near. Keep checking back. And set up a reservation finder with Touring Plans.

Yes, I've been able to nab one a few days before. My advice would be to keep checking the website/app, but also have a backup plan just in case.

Check throughout the day 1 to 2 days before. That’s usually when people cancel last minute to avoid the cancellation fee.

I have always had good luck with this.

The backup plan is the lounge. My husband and I are going in 2 weeks to celebrate my 50th birthday. Neither of us thought of this restaurant until 2 weeks ago when he mentioned it.

keep checking as peoples plans change. Also the day before and day of are probably your best chance.
You can also use Touringplans reservation finder. That has helped us at times.

The lounge tends to be very busy as well unless you get there close to opening time.
Unlike many other lounges, you can order the full meal in the lounge and many do.
