California Grill reservation time?

Hi everyone, We're hoping to eat at CG our first night in the parks (2nd day of the trip), the catch is that we want to go back to the parks to watch Wishes. DFi suggested we watch them from the restaurant, but I want to be in the park...it will be our first time as husband and wife watching them, and the first time seeing them since he proposed during them on the last trip...so it's super sentimental. My question is, how early of a reservation can I get for dinner? can I get one for 5:30 or 6pm and still be back at MK in time for Wishes?

Hi,
Is Wishes at 8pm the night you plan to go to CG?
It will be tight; CG is a wonderful place to dine - it tends to take quite a while in the restaurant. You may make it just in time.
I understand you want to enjoy Wishes in the park. I have to tell you however that it was very magical watching Wishes from the CG patio - they dim the lights and pipe in the music, and it's just beautiful, really. I can't describe it well enough; just get little goosebumps remembering it. We'll be dining there on our return trip in February (my 17 y/o choose it again) we'll be celebrating her 18th birthday that day.

We go in July for our honeymoon, but I wanted to get a head start on planning my ADR's so when I book them online I wont have any issues with decisions lol.

So i'm not exactly sure when they're going to be playing...if at all (I think there was a special summer show this year?). If we can't make it back we an still watch them from CG even if we don't have a table overlooking MK right?

Yes, I do believe you're allowed to stay to watch them. The views from the patios are really great, especially the sunset over GF, I could have stayed up there for a while!
