California Grill Questions

I have this restaurant booked twice during our vacation b/c I've always wanted to try it! I've heard great things and the menu looks like something my husband I would love. Ok ... here are my questions/concerns:

Our reservations include our two daughters (3 and 5). They are well behaved in restaurants and so that shouldn't be an issue. However, my youngest is fairly picky (my oldest will like the salmon). How is the kids' whole wheat pizza? Has anyone tried it here?

Also, we will probably cancel one of our two dinners b/c they are booked two nights in a row. So which night should be cancel?
1st option: Friday night on a MNSSHP night - ADR is for 7:50 and so hopefully we could catch the 9:30 fireworks. However, that is the day we arrive so the girls will be up early that morning - normally they would be find with a late dinner but I worry about the excitement of Disney and the early flight catching up to them by that time.
2nd option would be Sat. night at 7:30 and we could catch the 9:00 regular fireworks. However, we would have to leave our day at MK and miss the parade that night!!!!

What do you guys think would work best? Or is Cali grill not worth all this hassle?

I would love to get a cal grill ressie. I have tried for months. I am going down on Oct 4th --11th. Although I have never been I always stay in Cont Towers and STILL can't get a ressie. From all reviews the entire family will love their meal. And if u time it right u can see fireworks while eating. diane

California Grill is very accommodating towards families with children. We have dined there four or five times over the years with our DS and DD at various ages. The food is spectacular and if you ask, they will likely make whatever you request. I love that they bring cheddar cheese goldfish as the kids wait for their dinners. If you are not planning to go to MNSSHP, then I would do it that night so you can see the fireworks. Maybe you could nap your little ones so they will stay awake for the whole experience.
