California Grill question

I would REALLY like to finally try the Cali Grill during our April '10 trip - we've been to WDW sooo many times and never gone. This trip, we're staying at BLT for our last 2 nights so it's a no-brainer location wise. I'm just struggling with the cost (family of 4 - DD11 won't eat enough to justify a $$$$ entree). Does anyone know if they would be alright with her ordering a flatbread as her entree (and then just tasting ours)?

She & I split entrees a lot when we eat out because portions are huge most of the time...

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If you are paying out of pocket for your meals then your daughter can order whatever she wants and share from others in the family. If you have a dining plan and are using it for that meal then I believe that a full meal would be charged for each person in your party.

Same for DH and I on our Dec. trip. A lot of appetizers look really good to me and I don't need two desserts and a snack every day. A time or two I expect I'll order two appetizers and no entree for a meal.

While the entrees are far from large at CG, yes, you can order an appetizer as an entree. I have yet to have an entree at CG that I actually liked so I now I always get a salad and sushi (two appetizers) instead of an entree.

DD was not feeling up to snuff last trip to California Grill - - and that is exactly what we did - no problems at ALL!

we felt it wasnt the best use of 6TS (for the 3 of us - a TS is app 20 - 30 dollars - so your ts meals should be $40 - $60 for best use... or pay OOP!) I think our total oop for this fantastic meal was around $50 for the 3 of us!!

so no worries!

(IF you are on the DDP - one trip we had planned on DD staying at a babysitting club - but due to her sugar issues, we thought it best to keep her with us - and because we were on the DP even tho DD couldnt eat anything we had to order an entree - but the did suggest to make it "to go" I did get the fillet to go - it was great the next day for our lunch!! but its been awhile since we went that route, so I cant confirm if that is still their standard operating procedure for Dining Plan)

I just know you can indeed order a plain cheese only flatbread for an entree!! :goodvibes (I forget what they have listed on the menu - but dd wanted the specific adult cheeses - but not the veggie listed in the menu!!)

I think Cali Grill is TOTALLY worth the money. They will not bat an eyelash about any sharing or ordering apps as entrees. Enjoy it!
