California Grill Question

I have a 7:20 reservation on the night of a 9:00 wishes show. Is it possible to just have drinks , appetizers and some dessert, or are we expected to purchase a dinner . We love appetizers and wine, so they will definately make there money on our table.
We are on the Dining plan but have planned on paying for this one OOP.Our kids will want some finger foods to.

It depends on whether you plan on staying at your table for wishes I suppose. We had 7:55 reservations for 10pm wishes and with having appetizers, dinner, and dessert we had just paid our bill as the fireworks started. We stayed through the fireworks as the lights were dimmed already when our waiter took the payment. Unless you want extremely slow service I would say that you will be done with just appetizers and dessert well before time for the firewworks and be expected to give up your table. On the other hand- anyone who eats in there is welcome to return for fireworks on the observation decks on that night. There are only a couple of tables (all 4 seaters- although the best ones only had 2 people at them) from which you have a good inside view of the fireworks. You could probably finish what you want and then head out to the deck and be able to get a good spot for wishes.

We do want to see the fireworks.... for sure! It's not that we don't want to pay for dinner. We just really like to order several different things and pick at them while we sip wine. This often costs more than ordering one dinner each.
I guess it depends on how fast or slow the service is as far as timing the fireworks. 1 hour 40 minutes isn't a long time to dine in that sort of restaurant.

Eat at whatever pace you are comfortable, but don't just dawdle because of the fireworks. If you are finished eating and the fireworks haven't started then grab your cocktail and head to the observation desk as others have mentioned.
