I am torn. We have an ADR for California Grill and we would go back to watch Happily Ever After. We also have an ADR for Tiffins with the River of Lights dinner package. I know we want to do Animal Kingdom at night. I want to walk through Pandora. Cali Grill gets rave reviews. I haven't heard much about Tiffins. We don't have time to do both. We are only there for a quick trip in July.

The food is good at both, though I prefer the atmosphere at Cali Grill more. For me, it comes down to which nighttime activity you want to do most - HEA or the nighttime offerings at AK.

The food at both is fantastic. I agree that it really depends on which you'd prefer - MK or AK that night. While we eat a CG every time we go, I almost cancelled our Tiffins reservation last year because I wasn't all that excited about it. I can't tell you how glad I was that we didn't cancel. It was excellent.

Honestly CG use to be good before the refurb....not sure what happened but i've had some disappointing meals there lately. Not a fan anymore. Unless your dying to see the fireworks from CG, i'd pass.

We just had a super terrific experience at Tiffins. Food is great, restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was terrific. We tried around 6-8 different dishes, each was terrific. Used to love CG, but next trip it will be Tiffins again!

We prefer Tiffins. I feel CG is overrated and overpriced (even for WDW). You pay for the view. Tiffins is a great atmosphere, delicious, unique flavors.
But, don't get me wrong...both are excellent choices.

We ate at both for the first time at the beginning of May and I say Tiffins hands down!! My fiancé and I still talk about that meal! The service was excellent.. they take their time to explain the whole concept of the restaurant and the menu to you.

At CG our waiter took our drink order immediately and then five minutes later he brought the drinks and asked for our appetizer and entree order. We had a 6:00 PM reservation and were out by 7:05 PM. I'm not complaining about efficient service, but for a signature experience it was very rushed and inpersonal. Aside from the MK view, the atmosphere at CG wasn't anything special.. and unless you get a window seat you will feel like you are in the middle of a loud kitchen (or in the corner at the back of the restaurant like us).

I ate at Tiffins twice in May and both times it was excellent! You won't be disappointed!!

California Grill, we're in the minority but our Tiffin's experience was mediocre at best, mostly service, partially food. California Grill has been consistently great for us for both Brunch and multiple Dinners. I'd suggest going to Jiko instead of Tiffin's if you're looking for something more adventurous than California Grill
