Hello, we are headed down to Disney in 3 weeks, and have CG booked for our arrival evening dinner.

Does anyone have any recommendations of their favorite "must have" items on the menu? So many items look great!
I also noticed on the allears menu that the CG offers a cheese platter, and I was wondering if you would suggest it as an appetizer or as a dessert item?

Thank you!

We've eaten there a half dozen times and love the brick oven flatbread - Roasted Chicken with Applewood Bacon, Crisp Romaine, Caramelized Onions, and Lemon Mayonnaise, as an appetizer.

Oh, and a bottle of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon to help wash it down.

They keep tinkering with their dessert menu, but see if they have the Butterscotch Buzz. It is absolutely incredible.

Their sushi is the best I've ever had.

Every time I go I always order the same thing:
Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli for my app, and then the pork tenderloin with goat cheese polenta and zinfandel glaze. MMMMMMM.

Boy I must really like goat cheese!

The goat cheese ravioli is wonderful. DH would recommend the chicken entree that he had last month, very very good.

We would both recommend the Valrhona chocolate cake, my all time favourite dessert!:cloud9:

I've now decided after all our trips there, to skip the entrees and concentrate on the flatbreads and sushi. Not that the dinners aren't good- but the other stuff IMO is so much better. Cheese is a dessert type course- served as such with fig spreads, honeycomb etc.

LOVE the pork tenderloin with goat cheese polenta and the sushi!! So good!

The current beet salad is amazing...the best version CG has had for years.

The flatbreads do vary (except for the 4 cheese( so I wouldn't get your hopes up for any particular one. We've had so many good ones over the years.

I enjoy the cheese plate for dessert.

The steak is always great. My sushi lovers really enjoy it at the CG. DS2 always orders the goat cheese ravioli and it disappears!

So many great choices there.

from the menu posted on "allearsnet.com" I'd start with Yellowfin Tuna Three Ways - Poki, Tartare, and Tataki $21,then Creamy Butternut Squash Soup - with poached lobster, crisp apple, and Coriander-Lime Créme Fraiche $10 & for my entree I'd have Striped Bass with crispy rock shrimp, roasted potatoes, onions, Celeriac, "Chowder" cream, and Piquillo Rouille $35 and finish wuth a cup of coffee to accompany the Chocolate Temptation - (No Sugar Added) Chocolate pyramid with chocolate gelato, berry compote and chocolate-hazelnut crunch $11.

The Sushi is to die for!

One sushi roll that isn't listed on the menu but is the Shrimp Tempura Roll. It is so so so yummy!

It is crispy shrimp tempura with julienne mango and watermelon, wrapped in rice paper and served with an orange ginger dipping sauce.

My other favorite is the Spicy Kazan Roll, crab, shrimp & tuna topped with fireball sauce that contains bay scallops, topped with tempura crunch and tobiko.

Last Sunday at the California Grill bar: a cosmopolitan, hearts of romaine salad, the roasted mushroom flatbread and WISHES! A perfect evening :)

My wife loves the pork tenderloin. I've gotten the filet multiple times.

I, however, have to agree that the flatbreads are awesome. I hadn't thought of just going there to order a bunch of flatbread and then bail, but it's a good idea. I will remember that.

Their sushi is the best I've ever had.

As of Dec 14th they did not have the Butterscotch Buzz. I agree it was incredible. :(

We like the triple cheese flatbread and the filet.

Another sushi and flatbread lover here!

I used to love the pork tenderloin and polenta but last time i had it they changed it. it used to be medalions and it was a whole piece. Just wasn't the same.

I have to say I was happy because I always wanted to try new things but couldn't because i loved that! It was a blessing in disguise i guess.

I have not had anything there I disliked.

My BF and I were there on Saturday. For appetizers, I had the butternut squash soup (amazing!) and he had the rabbit (I didn't try it.) For entrees, I ordered the grouper and he ordered the striped bass. After multiple samplings of each other's entrees, we could not agree on a clear winner of the two. They were both so good! For dessert we shared the valrhona chocolate cake and it was amazing as well.

Everything I listed above is on the menu currently posted on the all ears website if you want more details on each dish.

Have a great time! I wish I could go back!

I have to agree I get the same thing. I love both of them. I have to admit the last time I was there I got the crab cake.... also great!

I always get a double order of the app Goat Cheese ravioli...my favorite thing anywhere. But I've never tasted a thing from CG that wasn' t wonderful!
