California Grill Memories

I'm quite sure this is not a unique question, however I'm going to ask it anyway.... My girlfriend and I are doing a quick 2 night stay in April. We will be there for both her 50th birthday and the 10 year anniversary of her having a stroke. In other words - this is a very special little trip. Anyway, I got us reservations for the California Grill for 9:40pm with Wishes going off at 10:00pm with the hope that this will create very special memories for her. Is this a good choice? Any feedback is appreciated!

I think it is an excellent choice! DH & I ate at California Grill for the first time in 2013. Our DD brought a friend along on that trip and on the night they went to MNSSHP DH & I went to California Grill for a date night. We fell in love with it! We love the decor, the food, the service, and it was so fun to go out on the observation decks and get a birds-eye view of the Disney property.

We've eaten there every trip since and will be eating there again in August. Surprisingly we have never watched the fireworks from there but we plan to this year!

Happy Birthday to your girlfriend and I'm glad it sounds like she is in good health now!

I agree. My husband and I visited California Grill last April for my birthday as well. We took our glasses of wine out on the observation deck for Wishes viewing. The April temperatures were lovely for that. I would be very pleased to relive that experience. Hope you have a wonderful birthday and health celebration.

I think this is a great choice. I would suggest arriving a bit early so you can get up there and settled before the fireworks. Perhaps they can even seat you a bit early.

You picked a good time and the server should know how to work around wishes while you are there.

That should be absolutely lovely. We had a late night reservation there for Wishes (anniversary dinner) and it turned out to be our favorite meal of the entire trip. They have the timing down to a science; we got another glass of wine, went out to the deck, and just took it all in.
