California Grill lounge

Is it still a possibility during the slightly post Covid time to get a table at the California Grill lounge and order from the dinner menu? We are planning a very last minute trip and obviously can’t get a regular seat in the dining room but the last time we went we were able to just grab a seat in the lounge and order dinner. Did they change this since Covid? Is it likely since the reservations seem even more difficult to get that a seat in the lounge would even be possible at this time? It’s a girls trip and we would love to begin our monorail crawl with appetizers at the California Grill lounge and then move on to any other lounges that are open on the monorail and then come back to the California Grill balcony and see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. In the past if you had eaten in the lounge or the restaurant you could bring your receipt back and be admitted to the viewing deck -not sure if this is still possible -can anybody advise - thank you so much!

I believe they are still using the lounge area for regular dining tables. They do have some seats available at the bar. I would recommend an early arrival because there are not many bar seats.

We are there this weekend and they are still using the lounge area for regular dining tables. There’s about 12 bar chairs available for walk ups.
