Do any vegetarians have experience with California Grill? DH and I are planning a "date night" for our September trip and I am a vegetarian. We will have the DDP and would like to try a Signature Dining Restaurant. I have read a lot on the California Grill - but haven't seen much about Vegetarian options. If anyone has any reviews/experiences/tips they'd like to share, I would really appreciate it!

I am not a vegetarian. But California Grill has a vegetarian plate. It isn't on the menu, you have to ask for it and they will make one up for you. I had one years ago because I didn't want anything on the regular menu. It was good...had vegetable sushi among other items.

I'm a vegetarian, and I've eaten there. I don't exactly remember what I had but it was a pasta dish/lasagna with fava beans, or some other light green bean in it. I thought it was very good...nice cream sauce...but that was in 2004.

I'm a vegetarian and have eaten there numerous times. They generally have one entree on the menu that is vegetarian, and numerous appetizers (usually at least one flatbread, one salad, and a goat cheese ravioli dish).

Sometimes we just split a lot of appetizers when we go--sushi (they will make vegetarian rolls if you ask), cheese plate, flatbread, etc. I've also had the "vegetarian unplugged"--the veggie plate you have to ask for. Apparently the chef just gives you whatever they feel like at the moment.

Here's a link to one of my reviews:

I can't find the others, but off the top of my head, here's what I think: Goat cheese ravioli is kind of "eh" for me. Love the cheeseplate--always get it. We like to try new flatbreads and have requested they have made them without the meat for us. I loved the vegetarian unplugged both times. Once I got some flatbread, goat cheese polenta, and some potatoes and veggies--all great, but the polenta was especially yummy. I even requested it the 2nd time I ordered the veggie plate. The second time around they gave me the polenta and a kind of potato-truffle oil-cheese lasagna that was very good and salad.
