My DD is turning 6 in May.

I was going to go to 1900 Park Fare but we are going to Cindy's Royal Table for breakfast that day.

Should we go to California Grill? 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 6) on DxDP.

Any other suggestions?

Please help!

We celebrated our DS"s b-day at California Grill last year and it was spectacular. He was turning 13. We also had our other 2 sons age 10 ans 2. They handled the cake and the kids had steak and mac and cheese. It was a total hit. Wishes sealed the deal and made this a night that none of us will ever forget. For my sons school project on memorable moments, he presented his picture at cali with his birthday cake. I think that this is a great idea at any age. (I'd love to celebratemy b-day there myself!)

We did ,y ds's 6th birthday there- they were great. He got a photo card with mickey's signature and his picture with the castle and fireworks and i think a small cake or dessert. He loved it and felt like such a big kid for having special

I agree, CG is a nice choice for a special celebration dinner. I would note it on the reservation and maybe you'll get pixie dusted with a window table.

Oh No-- I don't think California Grill would be a good place for a 6 year old's birthday... It's really more of a place for business people... I mean there are definitely families there, but they are outnumbered by business people.
The menu is not exactly kid friendly... (Although your kids are young enough they could eat off the kid's menu). I'm an older teenager and there was barely anything on it that I was willing to try--- For instance, they only have one type of salad dressing, and it is made with anchovies.

I think a character meal would be much better for a 6 year-old's birthday party. Maybe try California Grill another night, but not for that day. J

We celebrated my daughters birthday last year at Cal Grill. It was great. They decorated our table brought her a special dessert, let her go into the kitchen and make her own sunde with her brother, took our family photo and gave her a B-Day card signed by Disney Characters. All of this was done with minimal notice. (All she did was wear her B-DAY button) They did such a fantastic job I left a really, really big tip as a sign of Thanks, and I was on the DDP.

My DD's (15&13) now have been enjoying CG for many years. It is one of the places they always want to eat when we are at WDW. The kids menu always did the trick when they were smaller and they have always enjoyed trying new things from the adult menu. We always pick a ressie time when wishes will be a part of the meal. It is a very memorable place to eat and I cannot think of a nicer place to celebrate a b-day no matter what the age.

At 6yo I loved my surprise party with my friends at the house and the 3 layer cake decorated with white icing with pink writing; homemade by grandma. It is a very vivid memory for me. I think CG is a fantastic place for a celebration, but as a 6yo at WDW I think I'd want more fun.

I'd even ask her what she wanted. At 6yo I'm sure she has her very own opinions :rotfl2:

Coral Reef would be fun for a non charcter meal.
Hoop Dee Doo might be appropiately silly for her.
Maybe even Beaches and Cream with the famiy having the kitchen sink together in her honor.
