California Grill & Fireworks

Upon advice from a previous post I am making some changed to our ADRs. I switched some things around and we are now going to BOG for a late breakfast (only time left). I am looking at California Grill for dinner. The only time left is 9:15. How will that impact be being able to see fireworks at the restaurant?

All depends on what time fireworks are that night. Go to the WDW site to find the time for fireworks that night. If they are at 8:30 or 9, you can usually go up to see fireworks and then wait for your table. If they are at 10, no problem. You will be seated and your server will time things around fireworks.

If you show up early to the check in desk, you can ask if they will let you go up to watch fireworks. As long as they know you have a reservation, most often they will. you also might get lucky and get seated early.

I wouldn't count on them letting you up early to see them. If you are going during a busier time of year, they may be at capacity well before HEA starts, and they won't let you up until people leave (which probably won't be until after the fireworks are over). I would go and see if you could check-in earlier (maybe around an hour earlier than HEA) and tell them you will hang out at the bar until they are ready to sit you. If that won't work, you could watch from the observation area on I think the 4th Floor and then check in for your ADR after. The busier times of years, the harder going up early will be.
