California Grill Fireworks Dining

Hello! I've got an ADR for CG at 5:45pm on September 17 - as of now, the fireworks at MK are scheduled for 8pm. Is 5:45pm an ideal time slot or should I continue searching for something closer? I understand we won't be guaranteed a window seat regardless but would like to be in the restaurant for the show. Thanks!

Dinner there can take about 2 hours so we try to schedule the reservation where Wishes falls in the middle. So, you should shoot for about 7pm. You may or may not still be eating by 8pm. But, you can always go out on the observation deck when you're done and wait for them.

Seated at 5:45 would put the finish of your meal around 7:45--unless of course you aren't eating a full meal.

But if you are that would leave only 15 minutes until fireworks time.

Other times later and you will likely be somewhere in your meal when the fireworks begin--which isn't any problem.

Seems early to me. I would look for something closer to 7 as well

We did ADRs for 1:30 prior to Wishes. We had a relaxed meal then watched from the outdoor viewing area while the held our table, then brought dessert and coffee. The staff at CG seems well aware that many people come for the fireworks as well as the dining and seemed happy to comply.

For my family of three adults, the average three-course meal at CA Grill takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. If Wishes is at 8:00 pm, I would probably look for an ADR around 6:30 pm, so that we're between entrees and dessert when it's time to go out to watch Wishes.
