Didn't know what to expect (don't particularly like liver) - delicious - looking forward to ordering it again....

I refuse to eat at any restaurant that serves foie gras. :furious:

Please excuse my ignorance, but what's up with the foie gras? Why is it banned now?

not saying i agree or disagree but the link might help understand
http://www.goveg.com/feat/foie/ ( it's from peta so not sure how accurate it is)
personally any liver any time = :crazy2: for me :)

Thanks for the links - man, I'm not a fan of "organ" meats anyway - but that really is ... well, eeuuuwwhhhh! Those poor ducks. Glad it's on the banned list, but they are taking forever to enforce it!(2012!)

It's actually not on the banned list... there are cities and states (California in a few years) that are outlawing it. Some chefs are refusing to use it. To each their own, but I'm glad there's always France to go to when I need my Foie Gras fix...

It looks wonderful in the picture.... but I don't eat any internal organs personally, just can't do it...

I have heard however that in France you can get it now from duck that are no longer force fed they are allowed free range style grazing course still will not eat it even then i have to say
