California Grill - DDP - What is considered an appetizer

I see on allearsnet.com's menu that there are the following:

1. Flatbreads
2. Sushi
3. First Course

Which of these three, or are all, considered an appetizer on the dining plan? Also, I believe a previous post mentioned not all of the sushi selections are valid on the plan. Which are excluded?

And this has probably been asked, but what appetizer, entree, and dessert do you recommend ordering? Would also love wine recommendations (we usually prefer reds...pinots, syrahs (shiraz) or rhones.

Finally, we have 6:10 ressies and I'm wondering if we can make it to MK for SM at 8 pm. How long does it normally take from the time you sit, until the time you are finished. If we arrive early, do you think we can sit earlier than 6:10.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

We were told all those are considered appetizers.

As for recommendations, I would suggest the Hearts of Romain Salad, Triple Cheese Flatbread, Filet (it now has terryaki sauce on it...or at least it did when we were there 2 weeks ago) and the Banana Butterscotch Buzz for dessert. This was a great meal!

DH enjoyed the Bone In Ribeye, but I thought my Filet was better. :thumbsup2

We arrived at 8:00, were seated then, and finished just a little before 10:00. We could have stayed until 10:00 if we stretched it out more, or if we had eaten quicker (at our normal pace) we could have finished by 9:30.

Ok...now you have me confused, and i thought I had understood the appetizer thing. were you allowed to have *both* the salad and the flatbread? b/c I thought that you could only have one appetizer/sushi/first course on the DDP

Sorry, those were just recommendations of what was good...not exactly what to get with the plan.
Since it was DH and I dining we got 2 appetizers between us, "he got" the salad and "I got" the flatbread, but we split them both. :thumbsup2 They even brought the salad out on 2 plates for us.

So yes, you only get 1 appetizer per person. :)

darn...I thought as much! there are at least 3 appetizers that look good. and it will be my husband and me, too, but I don't know if I can get him to share! he's the type that will -- maybe -- let me have a taste, but won't completely split it with me. i may have to convince him otherwise for this trip -- there are just too many yummy things to choose from!

We really liked the "snake in the grass" roll we had as an appetizer last time. The sushi there is a little inconstant, but when it's good, it's very good.
