I have reservations for a California Grill dinner at 7:30pm... is this a good time to be able to enjoy the fireworks from MK? Is it better to watch the fireworks from inside the restaurant or in the walkway outside?

Both terraces have excellent views. You might not even have a view from inside, so would have to step outside anyway.

It depends on what time the fireworks are scheduled for that evening. If it's 9 pm, it's a good time. I would also check the times for Illuminations and any shows in DHS that night as you can also see them from Cali Grille. The observation deck is the best place to see the fireworks IMHO.

Ok thank you. So I'll keep my 7:30... since illuminations is at 9pm that night ... that should be more than enough time to eat dinner then head outside ?

For my family of three adults, a three course Signature dinner takes between 90 and 120 minutes. The Signatures are generally leisurely meals, so the servers don't rush through the courses (in most cases). We usually tell the server that we want to watch fireworks and they work with us to time the meal so that we're between entrees and desserts when it's time to go outside to see the show. I also prefer going out to the observation decks to watch the show (no issues with reflection on the glass).

To be clear.
Wishes is the Magic Kingdom nightly fireworks. Most view this from Ca Grille.
Illuminations is the Epcot nightly show. There is a distant view from a different direction at Ca Grill.
I think you want to view Wishes. You need to see what time that is

Thank you for your input!! And yes I meant to say Wishes not Illuminatiosn lol‍♀️

Wishes is at 9pm on the night I'll be there (3/15), so I think my 7:30 should be a good time!?

I've sat by the window with fireworks viewing and much prefer going outside on the observation decks to watch. :thumbsup2

Oops. So was making a 9PM resevation a big mistake? Should I try to get an earlier time?
if fireworks are at 9pm you can probably check in early and head to the observation deck for fireworks before being seated. No one is really giving up a table right at 9pm but I bet there is mass exodus after.

My reservations was originally for 9:05 and I checked and checked everyday until a few days ago a 7:30 opened up so I switched it.

I hope they let you check in early .. see the fireworks and then seat you

Anyone had a 7:30 reservation before that would be able to tell me if they were done with dinner by 9 to view the fireworks outside ?

Also, any dishes you recommend?

Thank you
