California Grill Bar?

Is there a bar in the California Grill and is it possible to sit there and have a few appetizers with your drinks? DD wants to take her fiancee there, but since they're on a budget saving for the wedding, she thought maybe they could just have appetizers.

Yeah ... Cali Grill has a rather large lounge area at the bar and it's totally possible to have a drink and some of their wonderful appetizers.

California Grill does have a nice bar, but you must have a reservation to get there. I have read on these boards that during slower times you may be allowed up there without a reservation.

Yes they do have a bar and yes you can sit there and have app's. It really nice in there . Beautiful view. Have fun!

Never been to the CG bar, but there is a lovely lounge at the Grand Floridian on the second floor. It overlooks the grounds and the lake. The band plays just outside of the lounge, and it's really nice. There is no restaurant attached - so it's nice, quiet, dark, and very romantic!

I am pretty sure that you would need a dinner reservation. You must check in on the 2nd or 3rd floor(cannot remember which), and then you get on an elevator that takes you directly to the top floor.

It really can get crowded up there, and finding a seat can sometimes be hard. The last 3 times we have been we have had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes. This is probably due to the number of people waiting for the fireworks. Thus, there are a lot of people waiting for their tables.

I would call to be sure - but I do not think you need a reservation to sit at the bar at California Grill. If you go right at opening (5:30PM) there are obviously plenty of seats. But as the night progresses, these bar and lounge seats disappear rather fast.
