California grill ADR 7:25....Wishes 8:00

This was the only time available. Can we watch wishes FROM our table or will we have to pause our meal and go outside? Does anyone know if this is a terrible reservation time?

It is a great time. First, the odds that you will be seated, have ordered and will have food in front of you by 8:00 are slim. It is not uncommon for a 7:25 to be seated at 7:45. So if you do not have a window seat that faces the MK, (and the odds are against it),then you will have to get up from your table to view the show. Not a big deal if you haven't been served yet. To increase the odds that you will not have food served, don't arrive too early and don't be in a rush to order. Arrive 5 minutes before your ADR and you are almost assured of running out the clock such that you won't have to interrupt your meal for the fireworks. The servers are pretty good about holding your food in the event that you want to leave your table.

We've waited up to 50 minutes past our ADR time to be seated as time nears the fireworks. People who are finishing their meals 30 minutes before fireworks are not in any hurry to get up and vacate the tables.

Also, tables with prime viewing locations are limited. Most diners go outside and watch the fireworks from the viewing platforms. I've dined here 7 times for fireworks and have only watched them from the table once; all other times the view was not good enough.

The good news is that the place is a much nicer place to dine after the fireworks.

It is a great time. It is actually preferable for most tables to go outside to view Wishes, and the waitstaff is very proficient at timing your meal to account for it.

i doubt you'll be seated before fireworks. you can go up and watch from outside. if your buzzer goes off in the middle of fireworks, they will let you continue to watch the show and go in for your table once they are over.
