California car rental

November is starting to get close, and I am still tweaking my transportation. I am still working on a rental car. I am picking up in San Diego and returning at LAX. So far, for a mini-van, Dollar has been the cheapest, by a long shot.

Does anyone have any dire words about Dollar in California? Is there any reason I should stay away from them?
