First time to California Adventure and wondering what is not to be missed. Also, is there anything my 4yo will enjoy?

Well Soaring over California is the best ride so make sure you do that. Heres the height requirement for some rides:

40-inch (102 cm): Jumpin' Jellyfish, Soarin' Over California
- 42-inch (106 cm): Grizzly River Run, Mulholland Madness, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
- 48-inch (122 cm): California Screamin', Orange Stinger
- 52-inch (132 cm): Maliboomer.

FFF is new and we will be there Dec13-17 to try it out with our twin 5 year olds.

FFF gets PACKED. Get there early. We were there 45 minutes after opening and the lines were 20-30 minutes long. There are only 4 rides, not very long rides, but very fun for little ones. The entire area is very small and sometimes there is a line to just get in the area.

In the paradise pier area there is King Triton's Carousel and the Zypher, Redwood Creak Challenge by Grizzly River Run. And don't miss the Animation Building at the end of Hollywood. Very neat interactive things for your 4 year old. We spend over an hour in there.

I think FFF's rides are not too hot but if you are there when it is not crowded it is worth checking out and seeing how neat the theme of the area is - very well done. I am sure your 4 yr old would get some enjoyment out of the area.

California Screaming is a great little coaster not too intense and very fun. I think it is a good coaster for kids who like coasters, and adults like me, who avoid the really scary extreme ones that are so common nowdays!

Soarin' Over Ca is very cool really a awesome attraction!

I also think the Grizzly Peak Rapids is fun but you can get VERY wet so keep that in mind when planning your day

For your 4 yr old I also recommend the Kings Triton Carousel (esp since the one at DL is in rehab) and I HIGHLY recommend the Griz Peak Challenge Trail. My son LOVES this area and it is a great place to let them run around and blow off some steam!

Those are the ones I like best :)

Don't miss:

- It's Tough to Be a Bug
- Golden Zephyr (like Tommorrowland's rocketship's)
- Electrical Parade
- Muppet Vision 3D
- Disney Animation ( you can see what disney princess you are while sitting in the Beast's library/den also a lot of other fun hands on things to do. We loved it as did our 2 year old)

Restaurant
- Avalon Cove - wonderful character interaction all characters dressed in a nautical theme. Have seen following characters there:
Ariel
Minnie
Chip and Dale
Pluto
Goofy

Have a great time.
