California Adventure June 8th or 9th

Originally planned to go on Thurs June 8th and had everything scheduled and planned. Then I was surprised to see that Mon-Thurs were all unavailable only this week. Worried I wouldn't get any tickets becuase I'm only there for 3 days and it happened last year, I bought tickets for Friday. I change all my plans and they are wonky but I have to manage becuase things happen. Well now all of sudden the whole week is available again. It hurts becuase I can switch back to original day but I'm losing like $400 since Friday was more expensive. Should I make the switch:
My concerns:
I had original planned to stay at a hotel walking distance Wed and Thurs.
This is not doable for Friday based on group plans. I wanted this so I could walk to and from park since I'm taking young kids.

I found out that Thursday is the last day before pass holders. Does this mean this day will be super busy?

But Friday is a grad night. Park closes earlier. Not that I planned to be there till close. But will that make this day less crowded?

I have to accept the loss of money. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot by switching back to Thursday and it ends up being a worse trade off
I know the parks will always be busy but worried there will be more crowds since the had all been unavailable but now have reopened which I'm assuming means more slots were just made available. I really don't know how it works obviously

Which day would be better for large group with 2 toddlers?

Well, lots of area schools are done tomorrow. Next week is going to be packed. No two ways around that.

Since Thursday is the last day for many passholders, my recommendation would be to keep Friday.

Thank you. I was thinking this too. I was hoping since it's grad night on friday less people would choose a day that closes earlier but this might just be wishful thinking haha. I expected crowds so I did get genie+.

I would keep Friday I think. We have been on those last days before passes are blocked for the summer before and they are crazy crowded.

Honestly, as a local, I have no idea when Grad Nites are. I don't factor that into my plans at all. We are going tomorrow afternoon and evening to celebrate the last day of school. Is it a Grad Nite? No idea. Doesn't change my plans. We won't stay until closing anyway.
