California (Adventure) here I come!

Looks like we'll be spending a day at CA this Spring! We're looking at either Tuesday, March 31st or Wednesday, April 1st. Yes, I am aware that this is Spring Break. It's either do it one of those two days or not go at all, which is not an option. Twice we've been at Disneyland over the Tuesday and Wednesday before Easter and we had a blast both times.

This time around, only the one park (we've been to Disneyland Park twice in 2014) and no hopping. Just too much money. Two days at Disneyland and nine days at Walt Disney World just about stretched our Disney budget to the limit this year.

I'm thinking Tuesday will be better than Wednesday since Wednesday usually has Early Entry and we won't be staying at a Disney hotel. I'll check park hours once the day gets closer.

My husband wants to eat at Carthay Circle so we'll make reservations once they open up. Not sure if we'll do lunch or dinner, or if we'll do the World of Color package.

Haven't been to CA since 2013 so I am jonesing to get back!

Tuesday will probably be your best option. If you go on Wednesday, RSR will already have an hour long line with no chance of you getting close to the front at rope drop. And you're right - that will be a super busy time. Probably a time I would lose my cool if it were a really warm day. The week before Easter means most schools will have Easter/Spring break that week. But hey, it's Disney, right? Just get a plan together and stick to it.

I would also recommend going to DCA on whichever day is not the EMH morning. Aside from that, I don't really think there is a great deal of difference between Tuesdays and Wednesdays during Spring Break. The trade-off with the higher crowds is that the park should be operating with longer hours and full entertainment.
