Yesterday at 9:45 AM my darling 15 year old Calico cat "Cali " went on her journey to The Bridge
. She was only diagnosed with end stage renal disease the day before. My Cali fell ill on Thursday of last week and the vet had no idea what was wrong (as she never displayed any of the symptoms) associated with this disease. It wasn't until they got the blood test results back on Sunday that they knew what was happening! Cali's BUN and other levels were way way over the norm .I brought her home on Sunday morning thinking I may have a little more time with her but after a very restless night on Sunday , yesterday morning I realized my Cali was not going to see another day.
So after wrestling with the only option I called the vet and had her come to the house to put my precious Cali to rest.As I sit here this morning my heart aches horribly and will for a long time to come! The only peace of mind I have now is that she is no longer hurting and that she has been reunited with her sister who left us in 2004
