Cali Grill Sushi--a separate restaurant? separate ADR?

Does anyone know if there is a "separate restaurant-sushi bar" at Cali Grill, or is it all the same restaurant....which means the reservation would simply be for Cali Grill? Thanks!

There are about four seats at a bar where the sushi is made. I've sat there a couple of times but I don't think it would be a separate reservation. I think it's just something you can request. I do know that the sushi they make is available in the entire restaurant. Hope this helps.

I have done it too at least 3 times.

You can order anything off the CG menu, not just the sushi. I have been seated facing one of the sushi chefs and also at raised tables and high stools facing the window.

I enjoyed both but it was really fun to watch both the sushi chef and the rest of the staff as you have a good view of the entire open kictchen.

They are very well organized in that kitchen.

What are the portion sizes like? Would it be complete overkill to order it as an appetizer before an entree?
