Cali Grill: silly questions

I have a few questions about the Cali Grill, hope someone can help me.
We want to plan a nice dinner and we all seem to agree on this restaurant. It's 4 of us, me and husband and two teenage kids.

I have been looking at the menu for this restaurant and wanted to know if it would be tacky for me and my daughter to share appetizers only. None of the main entrees appeal to either of us, but there are 3 or 4 appetizers we would love to share. Would this work? Would they just bring out 4 plates for the both of us or would we have to be served one dish at a time? The plates look very large in the pictures, would they even fit on the table all at once? I told you that these were silly questions, but this is what runs through my mind at this hour of the night.

Also, on the night we're there the fireworks start at 6:00pm. We have reservations for 5:30. I read a few threads on here that said the dining room that the fireworks is viewed in is very loud and they suggested asking for something called the wine room. If you had a choice of fireworks view or wine room, which would you choose? I dislike very loud restaurants so I was leaning towards the wine room seating, but would we really be missing something by not having that awesome fireworks view? I also read that we can just walk outside to view, so that's a consideration.

I told you that these were very silly questions. I think I might be obsessing about our vacation a little too much....nah! :surfweb:

It's fine if you want to split appetizers with your daughter. My Wife orders appetizers for her dinner quite a bit. They have a lot of great ones to pick from. There flatbreads are fantastic, we always get one when we dine there. I always get the pork tenderloin w/ polenta as my entree, it is so good. I would not worry about the fireworks they are not that loud in the restaurant. Maybe if you get lucky you will get a window table . By dining early you should be able to get a window table. Just ask for one when you check in. CG along with Jiko is our favorite place to dine at WDW. Have fun. :)

The appetizer thing should be no problem. I imagine they would bring them out as you ask--all at once, or one at a time. I agree about the flatbreads--excellet appetizers!!
As to which room--the main room isn't total bedlam (tho it is noisy) and we've eaten there any # of times. Not all tables have a view, so you may end up going outside on the deck to watch the fireworks, same as you would if you sat in the wine room.
So I guess I'm suggesting that if you really don't like loud and busy restaurants, then ask for the wine room and just go out on the deck when the fireworks begin. We've done exactly that ourselves a few times.
