We'll be celebrating mine and DS's 3rd bday on the last night of our trip in Dec. We are making ADRs for around 5:30 because it's easier with DS.
I have a couple of quick questions:

First of all, is it inappropriate to bring such a young child to CG? We would go early, around 5:30. He's *usually* very well behaved in restaurants, but we have no problem leaving if need be. We've only had to evacuate a restuarant due to his ill behavior once and that was when he was 18 months old.

Second, would we be able to see the fireworks for CG that early in Dec? I think I recall seeing that Wishes starts at 6 pm on that evening. Is that correct?

Thanks so much!

It should not be too crowded at 5:30 but unless you only order an entree and nothing else you will be there over an hour. Only you know how long your son can stay in one spot. That said, you can take him outside on the observation area to see the MK.

I would check the Disney web site. It will list the time that the fireworks will be the date you are dining. If the park is closing at 6 or 7 in Dec., it may be a date that Mickey's Very Merry Cristmas Party is scheduled from 7-12. In that case the fireworks will not be until 9 or 10 (probably 10).

The child is fine for CA Grill.

However, it is way too early for fireworks. I believe the earliest they go off is 8:00 or 8:30.

I don't think a child could withstand that length of time to wait.

I think CG is fine for children, if you don't take him tonice restruants he will lack the experience of dealing with them when he is older. There will be other children there any way, and not all well behaved!

The time of wishes varies, some nights it is 6 pm other 8 or 9. If it is 6 them 5.309 will be fine, it is unlikey there would be a wait at that time, but if there is you will still be able to watch from the viewing area, which is better than the table anyway.

It depends on the date. I was there for dinner Christmas day evening, and the fireworks were 9:30. I'm sure they're much earlier during the beginning of December, though, since the park closes pretty early then.
No problem bringing the little one! Especially that early, you're going to run into a lot of families with young'uns.

Your son will be fine at CG. We have been many times and seen lots of kids there. Even if they don't have Wish's make sure you walk outside on the observation deck. The view from up there is awesome. :)

Thanks so much for the replies! I looked up our date on the Dis schedule of events. It says Wishes starts at 6 pm that night, but it's also a MVMCP night, so I'm not really sure if that makes a difference.

The CG is fine for kids. If he takes a good nap before dinner he should be fine (from my own experience anyway). If you ask the waiter to stretch out your meal until the fireworks start they may do that. They did it for us in May. Depends on how long you think he'll sit. Just go and have a great time. The view is unbelievable!!!

We took our grandaughter to CG when she was 3... she loved it! She was especially enthralled with the birds flying past the windows.
