My family and I really want to dine at a Signature Restaurant this trip to WDW, but we are on a strict budget. Since we are staying at the Contemporary and have heard so many rave reviews about the CG, I thought we would try there.

After looking at the menu and seeing their flatbread selections, I was wondering if it's frowned upon to order flatbreads and drinks? They are actually probably the menu items my family would enjoy the most anyway, and they would make the dinner quite affordable for a family of 4.

Has anyone ever done this? Is it considered rude? Also, are the flatbreads good enough that we should bother booking the CG, or if we are only planning on getting those, is it better to just get an ADR elsewhere?

Thank you so much!!

It's not considered rude at all. My DH & I usually eat at California Grill 2-3 times per visit and at least one of those night we do just flatbreads or sushi & drinks. No frowns :sunny:

......and yes, the flatbreads are worth the trip. we've tried them all & our favorite is the three cheese. :goodvibes

I would think it would be your right to order whatever ever you want that's on the menu.

Thank you all so much, I'll make the reservations today I think.:goodvibes

And I'll keep the triple cheese in mind!

Another thing you could possible do is get the flatbread to go. My husband and I have done this before. We just explained to the checkin person that we would like a take out order, we were let into the bar area, ordered some flatbreads and took them back to our room. They're delicious!
