Cali Grill/ fireworks

We plan on eating here in June. We want to go around 6-7. I know I read we can come back later to watch the fireworks. We were thinking of going back to the room (BLT) and changing. Will we be out of place going to watch in our shorts and tshirts. ( we will not be wearing those clothes during dinner).

There is a place at the Contemporary right under the monorail tracks with benches that you can watch the fireworks. They have speakers and pipe the music in for you. The place is deserted. Get there about 20 mins before the fireworks. The door is right outside the gift shop.

TBH I have not seen anyone wearing shorts and tshirts in there. However I think as long as you are going to the observation deck and not sitting down to eat I can't see it being a problem.

I thought there was deck or lounge in BLT that you could watch the firweworks from there? Or the alternative is grab the monorail over to the poly and watch from the beach its an amazing view from there plus you get the music as well. We watched Hallowishes from there last year.

We normally like to eat at Cali around 9:10pm so we get there early and if our table in not ready we go and watch the fire works and if its ready we order our food and then take our drinks out to watch the fireworks. Its one of my favourite things to watch the fireworks from there.

We have reservations for 9:10 pm on Jan 25, Wishes at 8. Can we get into the lounge to watch the fireworks? I guess we can ask when we get there, but I would prefer not to go that early if it isn't likely that there will be room for the two of us.

Are you DVC memebers? if you are DVC members and staying at BLT, then you can use the TotWL. This would be a great place to view the fireworks after you change. If you are not DVC, then you will need to go back to the CG with your receipt. You may feel out of place if you are not dressed as would for dinner.

We did this. there was plenty room out on the deck for us. After the fireworks we had a drink at the bar and waitd for our table to be ready.

I think that if you're going out to the deck you'll be fine. Just go up and straight to the deck instead of hanging out in th lounge. If you want to hang out in the lounge or bar then I'd keep the dinner clothes.

Next trip I have to go check out that sitting area outside the gift shop !
