Cali Grill Elevator?

going next week with 4 teenage girls and hubby. i always do the planning and I always am the one to give directions. never been to CG. in fact we've never really spent a lot of time in Contemporary Resort. could someone give me a crash course on how to find the special podium and the special elevator. don't want to look like a ditz in from of the girls' friends (any more that I already do at times. )

When you walk in the main entrance to the lobby, there are escalators past the check in area that will take you to the second floor. There is a sign above them that with an arrow pointing up that says "Restaurants and Shops". They will take you to the second floor and I think you can see the CG check in desk right when you get off the escalator.

Take either the escalator or an elevator to the second floor. The special podium cannot be missed.

This reminds me of the John Hancock Building we had to navigate a few weeks ago.

My relatives were clueless and I kept saying "read the signs; we have to find it sometime, there's only 100 floors."

The "podium" is not a little, stand alone thng. It's about 15 feet long and it's like a check in counter at a hotel. It's at the top of the escalator from the ground level. BTW, our meal was wonderful and we saw the fireworks from the restaurant. It was a lovely, leisurely meal.

Oh, and you'll be escorted to the elevator and taken to the restaurant by a CM.
