can someone without an ADR go to the bar at California grill? We're going up for a long weekend for my birthday and I would like to do drinks and appetizers at the bar area but not a full meal. We've dined there several times before and I am dying for one of the flatbreads! LOL! But no ADR's are available so I thought this might be an option.

Yes, if there is space in the bar. You must check at the 2nd floor desk and be escorted up.

Even if they tell you there is space and let you up, you may very well not be able to find a seat. When we check in at CG with ADR's, they always invite us to go up early to the bar/lounge (since our table is never ready at the ADR time). Each and every time, the bar and lounge is full and we have to find two unattended chairs and prop ourselves up against a wall while waiting for dinner.

That is interesting to know. I think that we might try that next time we go to Disney. I imagine it'd be easier to find a place if we don't go around the coveted 'fireworks time'

We just had drinks there on Sunday, 10/19 before dinner at 'Ohana. We checked in at the desk on the 2nd floor and were taken right up. We were able to find seats within a few minutes.

Fireworks time is ALWAYS mobbed at CG. Should add that we always have reservations for dinner there on a Saturday night, at 8:00 (one hour before fireworks time). That certainly may account for a lot of the crowd.

Slightly off topic...but does anyone know if there are TVs at the bar at CG? We have 8pm reservations on Sunday night, just wondering if we'll be able to sneak over to the bar to catch a few minutes of the Phillies/Rays game.

Thanks!

There are no televisions in the California Grill.

The Wave bar has a television.
