calendar of upcoming events?

Can someone remind me of a link to let me know what's going on (not just on the official WDW site) when I want to go. Currently planning on an early May trip. All I'm aware of is the Flower and Garden Festival. My interest is in knowing if, for example, there will be a marathon weekend or other event to make things more crowded.

I think cheerleader and dance comp on weekends are your only worry early May. Easter is middle of April and star wars run weekend is 18/19th April next year

Thanks....I couldn't remember when the competitions were/are. I have read that because the groups are so busy out of the parks, they don't often impact it as much as we might think. Do you have any comments on that?

We have been at WDW late April/ early May several times. We are 2 adults in our 60s & stay at the YC, so don’t experience the groups at the hotel. But we have seen them in the parks many times. I will say we also see many school groups that time of year. Lots of groups of kids bouncing about with shirts with the school’s logos all over. That seems to be a popular time frame for general school trips also. But it really hasn’t bothered us much at all. We either walk a little slower or quicker to put a little distance between us if we don’t want to be in line right near them. So I am aware of all these groups but wouldn’t change any plans because of them.

3 different cheer/dance competitions late April/Early May. Comps are April 29-May 3 and May 8-10. Hotels where athletes will most likely stay are All Stars, CBR, and CSR. CSR holds the Dance Summit which is May 1-3. Large groups aren't in the parks as much but there is a celebration in MK on May 3 and 10th for the athletes. It starts at 10pm I think.
