Cake Tasting

DF and I are interested in the strawberry filling (on the DFTW website). I've noticed from some planning journals that it doesn't look like strawberry is included in the standard cake tasting stuff. Do we have to specifically ask if we can taste that? Thanks!

I would definitley ask. That way you know that it should be there.

Depends on where you go. If you go to a place that does fillings, then go for it- ASK!! When DF and I were cake testing, they didn't even ask us, they just brought us everything they had, including fillings for the cakes, fruit and all!! So, we went with a fruit filling!!

I had my cake testing in May and we requested certain fillings and cake flavors in advance (peanut butter filling, carrot cake.) There are a lot of the options that don't make it on the typical tray, so definitely ask before you go for your tasting.

Yes, make sure you ask. It isn't guaranteed though. There are 8 available options on the tray so if you request something you will be 'swapping' standard flavors
