Cake Ribbon Pulls... Done in Disney?

I have been reading wedding books that my Mom and I have bought from the discount bookstore down the shore - all books were less than $7 each.

I have been looking for ceremony elements, (rose, Sand, unity Candle, family medal) - I have not found one I liked

I did find a charming little custom done at the reception with the bridesmaids called cake pulls - little charms with ribbons attached are placed in the cake during icing and before the cake is cut, the bridesmaid pull them out. The charms tell different fortunes, but the main one is the diamond ring which foretells which of the bridesmaids will be married next.

I really like this idea, has anyone done in before or knows if Disney does it?

I don't know about the cake pulls but as far as the ceremony elements go we didn't like anything we found either! So we invented our own!
We had a bobble head ceremony with the magnetic kissing M&M bobbleheads. I wrote a really serious sounding ceremony and then we brought the bobbles together. It was funny and fitting for us.

My advice is if you can't find something you like make up your own thing!

I know a couple that was going to do that. (Unfortunatly they never got married.) Anyways, I think it is a cute idea. I know that when you buy them there are I think 5/6 different charms. I think that Disney takes the ones you want to use(I would imagine if you don't have 5/6 BM's you wouldn't use all of them) and add them to your cake. I am sure it is something that they have done before. I would talk to your coordinator on when you would need to give them the charms, and also how you would want them to be placed.

I've heard of this as a tradition at bridal showers. I've never seen it done at a wedding.
