Ok serious question. I wanna buy some cake pops and bring them home with me. btw I’m flying. flight time about 2 1/2 hours. What is the best way to bring them home. Do they need to be refrigerated? Do you think if I pop them into a Tupperware container and put them in my checked airline bag they will make home ok to be eaten. Is this a dumb question to ask ?

My guess is that you wouldn't need to refrigerate them, but you'd want them to be room temp or cooler so that the chocolate doesn't melt. Fortunately, the cargo hold in commercial airplanes is more likely to be cool than warm. The Tupperware plan will probably work fine, but if the pops have ears or other protruding features, you'll want to cushion them on the inside, too.

Of course, I'm not speaking from first-hand experience, so maybe someone who's tried what you're trying can chime in.

Well I hand-carried a Mickey-head rice krispy bar coated with mini M&Ms on a flight home, so I think they can survive!! LOL

I’d take a Tupperware but I’d personally put them in my carry-on. You’ve seen how they put those bags on the conveyor belt…..it’s like 6 year olds bowling. If you took some wax paper, you could bunch that up around them too. I am NOT above ridiculous packing measures for food. I brought a bottle of wine, a bottle of champagne, and a bottle of coconut syrup all the way back from Hawaii! Good luck!!! (BTW I looove the mummy Mickey head cake pops at Halloween!!!)
