Cake Ordering

Has anyone ordered the personalized cake for dining at CRT? I was curious because when I booked CRT today, I was told that I could get the 6" cake for $12.50 when we check in at the podium, or, order a personalized cake by calling a phone number at least 48 hrs in advance. If you have, could you please tell me about it... description, cost, pictures, etc?

I had a cake November 29 for my 40th birthday at CRT dinner. I called the special number. I believe it was $25. They put Melificent on it for me. It was chocolate on chocolate. It was personalized.

I'll post a picture later today. It's not on this computer.

It was pretty good.

Does anyone know if this can be done at ANY WDW restaraunt or just certain one's. Having Fathers Day at ESPN club and wondering if we could get one delivered there??

Yes, that's the number I was given as well. I do remember seeing something posted on these boards 6 or more months ago though that said you can order from the Grand Floridian Bakery, or somewhere else.... that's the part I can't remember. I'm not sure which of the bakeries this number is for, but it will definitely get you in touch with the right person. If you aren't sure of what you might want, they will help you make a selection that will be just right for the occassion! Be prepared though, the cakes can be somewhat costly depending on the choices you make.

This is the same number we were given. We ordered a cake for our 5th anniversary and had it for dining at the Castle. We had another cake delivered for my folks 50th anniversary again... at the Castle.

I think it was in the $25 - $30 range. I wish they were smaller (for less $$$ of course). It was just too big for 2 of us, and we didn't want to carry a cake around through the park!

I have found them very helpful. Give them a call and let them know what you need. But, DO ask about any extra charges, or you will be surprised when you get the bill.
