Cake Mix Cookies?

This is why I can't stand Crumbl. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the name, because they are crumbly and too soft and that's why I didn't like them.

There's probably not enough oil or eggs to keep the cookies from crumbling.

I've been making my own higher protein muffins by using cake mix combined with Kodiak Cakes protein pancake mix and putting in add-ons of other ingredients, just like with making cake mix cookies. I had to add in some oil as my first attempts were too crumbly. The oil keeps some moisture in and makes the muffins denser.

Never heard of 'crumbl cookies'. When I do a search it shows up as the name of a store selling cookies.

Yes - We make lemon ones every year.
My MIL made these when my DH was a boy and now we make them. She always called them Lemon Whippersnappers.
My suggestion for these is to not make them to big and do not overbake them - the softer the better.
I made lemon ones the last time I made them too. I flattened them out a bit on the cookie sheet..when they came out I sprinkled them with powered sugar.--they were so good!
