Bu I don't know where to get the mickey head stamp... any help please?!?!

I thought I had seen on a program that they actually made the stamp at disney for the cakes. I would check in scrapbooking stores and places like that.

We picked this cake - in violet and black and white but with NBC topper instead of CB. :) Love your idea though!

Why not break out the Awesome Bride Craft-Skills (tm) and make one? A mickey-head hole punch from a craft store, a sheet of rubber for custom stamp-making (I thought I saw something like that at Hobby Lobby- worth googling, right?) some hot glue and a stick... BAM! Mickey-head stamp! I hope my suggestion helps! I love craft projects ;)

Hi, I have used punches to cut shapes in icing. The trick is to roll the icing thin, let it dry a little and then wrap a piece of waxed paper around it. This helps it to slide through the punch more easily and stops the edges splitting.

If you want to 'bend' the shape on the edge of a cake and it is a bit dry, put a drop of water on your finger and rub it on the shape. this should make if pliable enough to bend.

Hope that helps - it is a bit tricky to start with but you soon get the hang of it. I've used shapes to decorate cookies, cakes, cheesecakes etc.

The larger Mickey head is made from a pin trading pin attached to a plastic dowel, and used like a stamp. The smaller head is nothing more than an earring. The silver is an edible silver dust. After the cake is covered in fondant, it is allowed some "cooler time" to let the fondant become slightly damp. The stamp is tapped in the dust, tapped off so the loose dust is released, and then applied to the cake sides.

The hat is a 6" chocolate dome covered in fondant. The ears are cut from a thick slab of fondant and alloed to dry for at least 4 days. Small toothpicks or bamboo skewers are inseted in the bottom of the ears before they dry, and then small holes are made in the hat to allow some stability. Royal icing is used as a glue to cement the ears in place.
